Ever been to a foreign country and found yourself and wish you had a translating gadget with you to help you communicate with the locals.Now you can use your iPod Touch/iPhone as a translator.Yes its very much possible.You just need to install a free applications and off you go..There are a few very useful translating tools in the Apple App Store which you can install for free.There are some paid ones too.But I tried only the free ones.

All you need to do is open the App Store on your iPhone.Search the AppStore for Talking German Phrasebook.There is also a Spanish,Italian,French,Greek and Portuguese phrasebooks available.It has the following categories..

Each category has various phrases...and here is the best part.The iPhone/iPod Touch reads it aloud,so can you can be sure of the pronunciation.

Apart from being an excellent translator tool it can also be used for learning the basics of various languages.I would say this is a must have app on your iPhone when you are going abroad...
